BRIAN TEMBA

Brian Temba is originally from Soshanguve, Pta (Tswane). He began his music career as a backing singer for different artists including; Hugh Masekela, Jonathan Butler, Vicky Vilakazi. He was part of trailblazing groups; Joyous Celebration, Family Factory and IV U (For You). He was part of “Lion and the Lamb”, musical play directed by John Kani. He has been involved in various soundtracks locally and internationally for movies such as Pride (starring Terrance Howard and Bernie Mac), Tears of the Sun (starring Bruce Willis) and an Ireland production called Highway Freedom. He was part of Miss Teen Production.
He was also involved in the short film by the Don’t Trigger Campaign called Hip Hop Opera where he was a lead. The campaign as about the awareness of therising knife and gun crime in England. Brian had a chance to appear on one of Americas Famous talk shows, The Jay Leno show. Shared the stage with the Likes of Tyrese Gibson at the Naacp Function held in New Orleans.

Lion King
• Brian Temba was the star of the West End Musical “The Lion King”, performing the role of Simba to packed audiences six nights a week at the Lyceum Theatre in London.
• He has been staying in London for 5 years and before then he was based in USA California (Los Angeles) employed as an ensemble member of the original Lion King cast.
• He has met many leaders and celebrities both locally and internationally who have helped with his career and he will be forever grateful for being given opportunities to showcase his talents.
